As a Data Scientist at Wizer you will design, develop, build and deploy our next generation of data engines and market research algorithms.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Develop Wizer’s augmented analytics platform in an exciting and rapidly evolving domain of market research. This includes a wide variety of research projects using statistical analysis and modeling.
  • Design NLP applications while using effective text representations to transform natural language into useful features. Perform statistical analysis of results and refine models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that include: data gathering, analysis, scaled deliverables, recommendations and presentations to stakeholders
  • Develop highly scalable production-grade classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, data regression, and rules-based models

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of practical experience in statistical analysis, machine learning methods and text representation techniques
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing production-grade code in Python (and scientific packages in particular)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Good understanding of software engineering principles
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving capabilities and critical thinking skills, while demonstrated independence
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Team worker, responsible, delivery-oriented

A Plus

  • MSc/PhD degree in Engineering / computer science / mathematics / statistics or any other related field
  • Experience working following an agile development process using Scrum or some other agile methodology
  • Working knowledge of cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure)

As a Market Researcher at Wizer you will support project fulfilment of market research studies, including fielding, data collection and review, report preparation, analysis and client communications. 

You will be part of the team building new data models and AI capabilities as part of the company vision, supporting the data science team.

Relevant Experience 

  • 2-3 years experience in the market research industry (from either the client side or the agency/research provider side)
  • Basic understanding of market research methodologies
  • Experience with data collection and analysis tools. 
  • Experience in data analysis using SPSS - MUST 
  • Ability to draft basic survey questionnaire from a project brief
  • Experience  programming surveys and field management
  • Experience in online quantitative research methodologies
  • Experience collaborating with other units within the company, e.g.  marketing, product
  • Research experience in the international market or working in global companies
  • Advantage if worked with online panel vendors and/or online surveys platforms 

Required skills:

  • SPSS, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in analytics technologies (e.g. R, SAS, etc.) 
  • Open-minded to learn new technologies and work with syntax
  • Creative, multitasker, analytical capabilities with attention to detail 
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • English: full working proficiency – writing and speaking

As a  Senior Research Associate you will support managers with the dynamic project fulfilment process for simple to moderate market research studies, including fielding, data collection and review, report preparation, analysis and client communications.

You will be trained on the job in setup and fulfilment of research studies and manage clients and strategic research engagements.

 

 Relevant Experience

  • 2-3 years experience in the market research industry (from either the client side or the agency/research provider side)
  • Basic understanding of market research methodologies
  • Experience with data collection and analysis tools
  • Should be able to draft basic survey questionnaire from a project brief
  • Assist with programming surveys and field management
  • Manage a project schedule
  • Perform analysis using Excel and SPSS (familiar with SPSS syntax work)
  • Consult on research findings (research insights)
  • Experience presenting results
  • Enthusiastic about data and market research

  • Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, SPSS, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Open to learning new technologies
