The Client Success Lead is responsible for managing and growing client relationships while ensuring the successful delivery of market research projects. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, translating business questions into research solutions, coordinating with internal teams, and delivering insights that drive client decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships by understanding clients’ businesses, industries, and research needs
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand accounts through additional studies, methodologies, or services
  • Lead client meetings, status updates, and results discussions

Project & Account Oversight

  • Partner with internal research team to scope, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Build project proposals, timelines, and cost estimates
  • Ensure research objectives are clearly defined and aligned with client goals
  • Monitor project quality and troubleshoot issues as they arise

Research & Insights Support

  • Translate client objectives into appropriate, best practice, methodologies
  • Develop survey flows and questionnaires that will answer clients’ core questions
  • Review survey links and deliverables to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Help synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights for clients; Support presentation of results, including storytelling and implications

Financial & Commercial Responsibilities

  • Manage account budgets, invoices, and revenue targets
  • Track project profitability and flag risks or scope changes
  • Support contract renewals and pricing discussions
  • Contribute to forecasting and account planning

Internal Collaboration

  • Act as the voice of the client internally
  • Ensure smooth handoffs between sales and research
  • Share client feedback and market intelligence with internal teams
  • Support external vendor relationships

Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, psychology, social sciences, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in market research, insights, or a related client-facing role
  • Experience at a market research agency, panel/sample provider, or insights consultancy
  • Strong understanding of quantitative research methodologies
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, environment
  • Familiarity with concept testing, pack testing, A&U, and brand health tracking
  • Experience working with custom research
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel)
